Privacy

Effective date: October 12, 2026

This policy explains how information is handled when you visit Platinum Digital Labs or choose to contact us by email.

Who operates the site

Mike DeYoung operates this site as Platinum Digital Solutions from Ontario, Canada. For questions about privacy, email mike@platinumdigitallabs.com.

Information handled

This is a static information site. It has no forms, sign-up, accounts or login. You do not submit personal information through a site form. To deliver a page, our hosting provider Vercel handles technical request information, including IP address and a location inferred from it. Runtime logs available to us may include the request time, method, path and query string, status, host, user agent, edge region, cache status and request ID. Please avoid putting sensitive information in a page URL or query string.

If you choose to email us using the contact link, your own email application sends the message. We and our email provider, Zoho Mail, then handle your address, message and related correspondence. The site itself does not send the email for you.

Why and how we use it

Hosting request information supports page delivery, site operation and technical troubleshooting. We use correspondence to respond to you and maintain ordinary records where necessary or permitted by law. This site has no email list or marketing-email program.

Providers and locations

Vercel hosts the site on its global content delivery network; its configured function region is Washington, D.C., United States. Vercel may process visitor information in the United States and other countries. Vercel also handles information under its own privacy practices as a provider; its separate platform-data retention is not covered by the runtime-log period below. Zoho Mail hosts our email account using United States mail endpoints, so messages you send may be handled and stored in the United States. Privacy protections and government-access rules in other countries may differ from those in Canada.

Retention and safeguards

Vercel runtime logs for the current Pro hosting plan are kept for one day, or for up to 30 days if extended observability is enabled. Because the team has that entitlement, plan on up to 30 days for those logs; this is not a claim about all information Vercel handles. We keep email correspondence for as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain ordinary records, subject to applicable legal obligations; we do not promise a fixed email-retention period. The site has no account or contact database. Hosting and email records are handled through their respective providers; no security system can be guaranteed risk-free.

Cookies and analytics

The current site does not set cookies or use browser local or session storage. It does not use advertising, web analytics or performance-measurement tools. If these practices change, we will update this policy.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or a correction, or raise a privacy concern by emailing mike@platinumdigitallabs.com. Please describe the relevant message or visit where possible. We may need to verify your identity and may be subject to legal exceptions; we will respond in accordance with applicable law. If your concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada where it has jurisdiction.

Changes

We will post changes to this page with an updated effective date. Contact us at mike@platinumdigitallabs.com with questions.
